No talking, no nonsense, this is a demonstration of the 2006 Epiphone Les Paul Ultra. This is the original model, no II, or III, or plus variant here. This was Epiphones original chambered Les Paul. HArd to pull up info on this guitar without finding its successors, what should one call it, the Ultra 1 Ultra I Ultra one? Alnico Classic pups in the bridge and neck. All stock, nice flame top even if it is veneer. I went through a few of the voicings on my Fender Vibro Champ XD to give viewers the range of sounds. I went from clean, broken up, to overdriven then to high gain scooped. This guitar sounds like some type of Gibson ES almost, much darker and more acoustic than other models I've had the luxury of playing. I found the top of the original run to look much nicer. The tuning pegs are grover, and the hardware is gold. The neck was satin, but over the years it too has become glossy like the poly finish. The action is pretty low and I find myself using this for a smoother m! odern sound than my Gibson Les Paul. This guitar has a lot of sustain to the point I wonder if when the notes will fade out.
